DME - Distance Measuring Equipment Network Analysis

Developed a software-based analytical model to evaluate the operational capacity of a Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) navigation network under varying air traffic and infrastructure scenarios. The project combined a rule-based simulation of aircraft–ground station interactions with a machine learning regression model to estimate DME ground station load. Implemented logic to model aircraft interrogation behavior, ground station selection, load calculation, and overload retuning, and validated predictions against real operational data. Simulated traffic growth and infrastructure rationalization scenarios to assess network robustness, demonstrating that the DME network can sustain increased demand while maintaining operational limits.

AI-Augmented Hexagonal Voxelization for UAM

This project presents an AI-augmented conflict detection framework designed to address the scalability challenges of high-density Urban Air Mobility (UAM). The system replaces traditional quadratic pairwise conflict checks with a hexagonal 4D voxelization approach using hierarchical geospatial indexing, enabling linear-time conflict detection across space, altitude, and time. Artificial intelligence models are integrated for trajectory prediction, traffic demand forecasting, probabilistic risk scoring, and resolution advisory generation, allowing the system to shift from reactive monitoring to predictive airspace management. Experimental evaluation demonstrates a 99.8% reduction in processing time while maintaining comprehensive conflict coverage, achieving high prediction accuracy and reliable conflict resolution performance. The results validate the framework as a scalable, computationally efficient foundation for next-generation urban air traffic management systems.

The aviation sector requires strict safety standards. Alcohol or substance impairment can create serious risks for operations. Traditional methods for detecting alcohol in airports rely on manual checks. These checks are slow, inconsistent, and can be easily tampered with. GARUDA is a Smart Breath Analyzer System that implements using Smart Automation Software , that is deployed in Kalaburagi Airport. The system automates the process of alcohol detection in the airport personnel and the essential staff for internal purpose. It links results with the access control and compliance reporting. The solution adheres to the principles of Smart Airport 4.0, enhancing safety, increasing the efficiency of the work, and making sure that the DGCA regulations and AERA suggestions were implemented.

Access Matrix - Unified Access Control System for Airports

Access Matrix is an IoT-enabled access control solution developed to prevent unauthorized entry within airport premises. The system assigns RFID-based identification tags to all personnel, enabling automated verification of access privileges at designated checkpoints. Upon scanning, the system validates whether the individual possesses the required entry authorization, operational permit, or airside driving permit. It further supports administrative functions such as issuing, renewing, blocking, and managing passes through a centralized interface. By reducing manual dependency and enhancing real-time monitoring, Access Matrix strengthens security, improves operational efficiency, and ensures adherence to airport safety and regulatory standards.
